Lets Get Started
Open my template, hit shift & d on your keyboard, this pastes the template as new image, close the original template. Delete info layer, I resized mine a little at this point, go to image, resize, change width & height to 90%, choose smartsize and make sure resize all layers is checked, click ok. Or if you prefer you can skip the resizing and can resize later , Template has a bottom white layer so no need to add one.
Activate the Spiked Shape layer, go to selections, select all, select float, select defloat, go to layers, add new raster layer, click ok, grab your floodfill tool then in your colour palette choose a something bright as your foreground colour, if your using the same kit then i choose pink. Delete the original layer and on the layer you just created go to effects, choose textured effects and the following settings :-
Width - 7 .... Opacity - 62 .... Horizontal - Unchecked .... Light from Top - Checked, i choose purple for my colour. Now add a dropshadow to the layer.
Activate the Black Circle layer, go to selections, select all, select float, select defloat then paste a paper of choice from the kit as a new layer, go to selections, select invert then hit delete on your keyboard, selections, select none. Delete the original layer.
Activate the Middle Circle layer, repeat the same step you just did on the black circle. I didnt add a shadow to these layers.
Activate the Middle Circle Frame layer, grab your change to target brush tool from the tool palette, choose a bright colour in your foreground tab on the colour palette and then drag your mouse over all over the frame, it should now be the bright colour lol. I choose the pink again. Add a dropshadow to this layer.
Activate the Dashed lines layer, go to adjust, select brightness/contrast and move the brightness slider along to the left, not too much but enough to darken the lines, now grab the colour to target brush and colourise in the same way as before, i choose 2 colours, pink and purple, but its up to you. Add a dropshadow.
Activate the Rock On wordart layer, again i used the same step as the dashed lines and colourised pink. Go to effects, select eye candy 4000, gradient glow and use the following settings :-
Glow Width - 3.00 .... Soft Corners - 25 .... Overall Opacitiy - 100 .... Colour - black or colour of your choice and on the settings tab, choose Fat, click ok.
Do the same again with the Small Stars layer. Add the glow to this layer too.
Activate the Scroll layer and again repeat the above step with the colour to target brush, choose purple for this. Now go to effects, select textured effects, blinds and the following settings :- Width - 7 .... Opacity - 62 .... Horizontal - Unchecked .... Light from Top - Checked, i choose black for my colour this time. Add the same gradient glow we used before for this layer. Now add a dropshadow to the layer.
We are getting there lol...
Activate the Left Photo Matt layer, grab your mgic wand and click the grey area so u have the marching ants flashing, go to selections, select modify and select expand by 1, now paste your tube as a new layer, resize if you need to and place so its sitting nicely inside the frame, once your happy with it go to selections, select invert then hit delete on your keyboard, do not deselect yet, activate the photo matt layer again and go to adjust, choose hue/saturation/lightness, then choose colourise, i choose the purple, the choice is yours, go to effects, select texuted effects, select blinds and add the same blinds effect as before, this time i choose black for the colour, click ok. Go to selections, select none.
Repeat the exact same step for the Right Photo Matt layer.
Activate the Left Photo Stamp Frame layer, go to adjust, select brightness/contrast and move the brightness slider all the way to the left (-255) black. Add the gradient glow with same settings and colour purple for this layer. Add a dropshadow.
Repeat the same step for the Right Photo Stamp layer.
Now activate a Left Music Note layer and repeat same step again but change the glow colour to a bright colour, i choose the pink. Add the dropshadow.
And its the same again for the Right Music Note layer.
Activate the Small Music Note layer, select all, select float, select defloat, go to layers, add a new raster layer, grab your floodfill tool and choose a colour of choice as your foreground colour and fill the music notes, go to selections, select none. Add the gradient glow to the notes and this time i changed one slider to purple and the other to black. Delete the original layer now.
Click on the very bottom white layer, go to layers, load mask from disc, then find the mask you saved at the start (Bfly Flby Mask #40), Make sure the following settings are set...
Fit to canvas - checked .... Source luminace - checked .... Invert transparency - unchecked .... Hide Mask - checked, click ok.
Use your deform tool to stretch the mask layer out a little if needed so its showing from behind the shape.
Time to decorate with some elements from the kit, paste any you wish to use, resize as needed, i added a dropshadow to some and gradient glow to others, the choice is yours.
Crop and resize now if you wish to. I just cropped a little of the white on this one.
Add your name, Add artist info and copyright info.
Save as jpeg or .png. and we're done lol.
