Lets Get Started ....
Open template, hit shift & d on your keyboard, this pastes the template as new image, close the original template. Delete info layer, I resized mine a little at this point, go to image, resize, change width & height to 70%, choose smartsize and make sure resize all layers is checked, click ok. Now activate the bottom white layer, go to image, select canvas size, choose 500x500, click ok, this will give you more room to work, Or if you prefer you can skip the resizing and can resize later.
Activate the layer named Circle 1, go to selections, select all, select float, select defloat, paste a paper of your choice from the kit as a new layer, resize a little if you wish but not smaller than the marching ants, when happy with placement go to selections and select invert then hit delete on your keyboard, go to selections again and select none. Delete the original layer and on the layer you just created go to effects, select eye candy 4000 gradient glow and use thes following settings :-
Glow Width - 3.00 .... Soft Corners - 25 .... Overall Opacitiy - 100 .... Colour - White. Click ok. I also added a dropshadow to the layer.
Repeat the same step for the layer named Circle 2 & also the Wordart layer.. Use a different papers and add both effects to both these new layers you created.
Activate the layer named Backing 1, grab your magic wand tool from the tool palette and click inside the first square, you should see the marching ants blinking now, take one of your tubes and paste as a new layer, resize this so the face is fitting nicely inside these marching ants, when happy with placement go to selections and select invert then hit delete on your keyboard, selections again and select none.
Click back on the Backing 1 layer again and repeat that last step with a different tube, do this with all the squares and use different tubes.
Now Activate Backing 2 layer and fill all 4 squares with different tubes repeating the step above. Click back to the backing layer, select all, select float, select defloat then paste a paper of choice as a new layer, resize if you want to then when happy go to selections and select invert then hit delete on your keyboard, selections, select none. (you cant see much of the paper on mine but your may have choosen different tubes from me therefore some backing may be showing).
Repeat the step with the same paper on the backing 2 layer.
Now activate the Frame 1 layer, select all, select float, select defloat then paste a paper of choice as a new layer, resize if you want to then when happy go to selections and select invert then hit delete on your keyboard, selections, select none. Add a dropshadow.
Repeat the step with the Frame 2 layer, I used the same paper to make all frames the same. Add the dropshadow to this layer also.
Choose a Heart Frame 2 from the kit and paste as a new layer, resize till you have it how you like it and move layer down to the bottom just above the white layer, now grab your magic wand and click inside the frame area, remember to select all the inside areas, go to selections, select modify, select expand and then choose to expand by 8, click ok, now paste a paper of choice as a new layer, resize a little then go to selections and select invert then hit delete on your keyboard, move this layer below the frame you pasted, activate the frame and add the same gradient glow and dropshadow as you used before.
Activate the bottom white layer now, paste a paper of your choice as a new layer and resize if you wish but not smaller than your canvas size, go to layers, select load mask from disc and choose the mask you saved at the start (Simply Devilish Scrapz Mask #3) Make sure the following settings are set...
Fit to canvas - checked .... Source luminace - checked .... Invert transparency - unchecked .... Hide Mask - checked, click ok. Use your deform tool to stretch the mask layer out a little if needed so its how you want it.
Back on the bottom layer once more, select you selection tool from the tool palette and draw out a largish sqaure, when happy with size/shape take a paper and paste as a new layer, resize a little and then go to selections, select invert then hit delete on your keyboard, go to adjust and select blur, choose guassian blur and set to 20.00.
Now take a glitter splat of choice from the kit, paste as a new layer, resize to around 50%, smartsize and move to top left of your canvas, when happy with placement go to layers, select duplicate and then go to image and select mirror, go to layers again, select duplicate, go to image and select flip, layers, duplicate, image mirror, this should give you 4 splats around the canvas.
Choose a different coloured splat and repeat that last step, move the splats a little so theyre all showing, (see mine as example).
I decided to duplicate my wordart layer, this step is up to you, Activate the wordart layer, go to layers, select duplicate, go to image, select resize and resize down to around 60% smartsize and make sure the tab that says resize all layers is unchecked, click ok, move the smaller duplicated layer up a little nearer the top of your canvas then duplicate this layer and move the 2nd duplicate down towards the bottom of your canvas (see mine as example).
If you want to add the extra words like mine grab your text tool, choose font and set foreground colour to null, background colour to black then type out your phrase, i choose ' Elias Babes With An Attitude' , when happy with size and placement give this layer the same glow and shadow we used before.
Eventually getting there lol...
Paste your tube as a new layer, resize as needed and place where you want it, add the dropshadow to the tube.
Time to decorate with some elements from the kit, paste any you wish to use, resize as needed, i added a dropshadow to my elements, the choice is yours.
Crop and resize now if you wish to. I just cropped a little of the white on this one.
Add your name, I choose a bold thick font and used my deform tool to pull in the top nodes to make it look flatter, this is up to you.
Add artist info and copyright info.
Save as jpeg or .png. and we're done lol.
Thanks for trying my tutorial and i hope you enjoyed it would love to see your results, hippiedaze@hotmail.com
