This tutorial was written on October 30th 2009 by Susan aka Hippiedaze.
The idea for this tag is off my own head lol and any resemblance is purely coincidence.
General Knowledge of psp is required, tutorial was written in psp 9 but will work in other versions.
Supplies Needed
Tube/s of Choice, I used the artwork of Keith Garvey, you must have a proper license to use his work please visit MPT - mypsptubes - HERE .
FTU Scrap Kit ' Fall Is Here' by Lacarolita @ Lacarolita's Designs - HERE
Template Used - #77 by Lou @ Truly toxic and you can snag from Lou's Blog - HERE.
Mask Used - #196 by Vix and you can get to Vix's masks - HERE.
Font of Choice for your Name.
Dropshadow (optional).
Open all supplies before you start & save mask to psp masks folder if you dont already have this ....
Lets Get Started....
Open Lous Template and hit shift & d on your keyboard, this pastes the template as new image, close the original template this will save the original untouched for future use.
Now close the original template.
Delete info layer on your new template image.
Go to image, select resize and choose to resize by 90% smartsize and make sure the box that says resize all layers is CHECKED.
Now make sure your on the bottom white layer and go to image again, select canvas size this time and resize canvas to 600x600 or whichever size you are comfy to work with, make sure all layers is unchecked this time and click ok, we can crop a little later if needed.
Ok now activate one of the circle layers on your canvas and go to selections, select all, select float, select defloat then take a paper from the kit and paste as a new layer, go to image and select resize and choose resize by 80% smartsize with resize all layers UNCHECKED, now go to selections and select invert then hit delete on your keyboard, this will erase the paper from around the circle, now you can go to selections and select none. You can now delete the original circle layer.
Repeat that step with the other 2 circle layers using different papers and delete the original circle layers when done.
Do the same step again for the stars layer using another paper of your choice, delete the original layer here too.
You can add a small dropshadow to all the template layers if you wish, will leave this up to you lol.
Now activate the bottom white layer and take a paper from the kit and paste as a new layer, resize a little if you wish to but not smaller than the canvas size, now go to layers an select load mask from disc and find the mask that you saved at the start which is Vix Mask 196, use the following settings to add to your canvas :-
Fit to canvas - checked .... Source luminace - checked .... Invert transparency - unchecked .... Hide Mask - checked, click ok, go to layers, merge group, you can use the deform tool and stretch out the nodes a little to cover more of the background if you wish to.
Click back to the top layer of your canvas now and take one of the tree elements from the kit & paste as a new layer, elements are quite large so resize as needed accordingly to suit your tag, one resized move tree to left side of canvas and move up towards top just a little.
Take the scarecrow element from the kit and paste as a new layer, resize as needed and move to below tree layer, you can also use the dropshadow on your elements if you want to, i did on some and left the others as they were.
Take the bench element from the kit, paste as a new layer and resize as needed then move this over near the tree, see mine as an example, again add dropshadow if you wish.
Making sure your on the top layer of your canvas, take your tube and paste as a new layer, resize as needed, remember tubes should be resize bicubic and elements smartsize. once resized move to right side of your canvas and position how you want it, add dropshadow to tube layer.
Take the wagon element from the kit and paste as a new layer, resize as needed and place a little to left of the canvas.
Now take one of the grass elements and paste as a new layer, resize this to your liking and move layer below the wagon layer, place at bottom left of the canvas, now go to layers and duplicate the grass as many times as needed to go all the way along the bottom of your tag. I didnt use the dropshadow on the grass layers, also i added an extra grass layer above the wagon layer and resize a little smaller than the rest, this is up to you though.
Now take the ivy 4 element and paste as a new layer, resize as needed and place amongst the grass layers, duplicate this a couple of times and spread out along the bottom of your tag.
I think we are almost done, you can add a few other elements of your choice if you wish, i added the tub of apples and a couple of the pumpkins and a butterfly, decorate your tag to your liking.
Now crop or resize your tag if you want to, you do this by grabbing the crop tool from the tool palette then drag your cursor around the area you want to crop then go to the tool bar and click the tab with the tick icon to confim the crop, remember to leave enough room for your name and copyright though lol.
Add your name, artist info and copyright info.
Save as jpeg or .png.
