This tutorial was written on October 17th 2009 by Susan aka Hippiedaze.
The idea for this tag is off my own head lol and any resemblance is purely coincidence.
General Knowledge of psp is required, tutorial was written in psp 9 but will work in other versions.
Supplies Needed
Tube/s of Choice, I used the artwork of Keith Garvey, you must have a proper license to use his work please visit MPT - mypsptubes - HERE .
FTU Scrap Kit 'Breast Cancer Awareness' by Kirstin @ Toxic Desirez, you can download free for a limited time only - HERE.
Template Used - #94 by Lou @ Truly Toxic, you can grab this template from Lou's blog - HERE.
Mask Used - #15 by Babe @ Babes Designs - HERE.
Plugin Used - Eye Candy, 4000 - Gradient Glow.
Effects Used - 3d Cutout.
Dropshadow optional.
Open all supplies before you start & save mask to psp masks folder if you dont already have this ....
Lets Get Started....
Open the template, hit shift & d on your keyboard, this pastes the template as new image, close the original template. Delete info layer, this will save the original untouched for future use.
Activate layer 1, go to selections, select all, select float, select defloat then take a paper of your choice from the kit and paste as a new layer, you can resize a little if you want to but not smaller than these blinking ants around the rectangle, once happy with it go to selections and select invert then hit delete on your keyboard to erase the overhanging paper, go to selections once more and select none.
Delete the original rectangle layer now.
Activate layer 5 and repeat the step above with a different paper from the kit.
Delete the original layer once done.
Activate layer 2, again repeat the first step with a paper from the kit, again delete the original layer once done.
Activate layer 3 and yesss u guessed it lol repeat the step over again then delete the original layer.
Activate layer 6, go to adjust, select brightness/contrast and move the brightness slider to the right a little to lighten the word, once happy click ok.
Duplicate the layer now and go to effects, select 3d cutout, use the following settings :-
Vertical - (-21) .... Horizontal - (-41) .... Opacity - 90 .... Blur - 38 .... Colour - Light Pink to match the kit .... Fill with Interior - Unchecked, click ok.
Now activate layer 4. go to selections, select all, select float, select defloat then paste your tube as a new layer, resize a little if needed so she sits nicely in the circle, when happy with placement go to selections and select invert then hit delete on the keyboard, your tube should be inside the circle now, do not deselect yet though...... activate the circle layer again then take another paper from the kit and paste as new layer, resize a little to your liking and now hit delete on the keyboard to erase the excess paper, you should now have the paper circle then the tube on top, go to selections and select none, add a dropshadow to the tube layer.
Activate the circle you filled with paper and go to effects, select eye candy, 4000, gradient glow and use the following settings to add the glow to the circle :-
Glow Width - 3.00 .... Soft Corners - 25 .... Overall Opacity - 100 .... Colour - Black, click ok.
Go through each template layer now and add the same gradient glow to all the layers you created.
Activate the bottom white layer andpaste a paper from the kit as a new layer, go to layers select load mask from disc and choose the first mask that you saved at the start (#15 by Babes Designs)use the following settings :-
Fit to canvas - checked .... Source luminace - checked .... Invert transparency - checked .... Hide Mask - checked, click ok, go to layers, merge group. I used my deform tool and stretched the mask out a little to cover more background.
Click back to your top layer now and we will add a few elements, i didnt use a whole lot but you can dress your tag up how you like.
I will leave the elements you choose up to you, remember to paste all elements on new layers, resizze by smartsize as needed and place them around your tag where you want them, add a small dropshadow to the elements too.
Once you finish decorating your tag crop or resize if you didnt at the start.
Add your name, artist info & copyright.
Save as jpeg or .png.
And I think thats us about done.
Thanks for trying my tutorial and i hope you enjoyed it
would love to see your results,
