Hmm Tease (ftu)

This tutorial was written on November 24th 2009 by Susan aka Hippiedaze.
The idea for this tag is off my own head lol and any resemblance is purely coincidence.
General Knowledge of psp is required, tutorial was written in psp 9 but will work in other versions.

Supplies Needed

Tube/s of Choice, I used the artwork of Elias Chatzoudis, you must have a proper license to use his work please visit MPT - mypsptubes - HERE .
FTU Scrap Kit 'Cheeky Diva Add On' by Ginas Gems and you can get this from her blog - HERE.
Template Used - Missy Template #282 by Missy and can be found on her blog - HERE.
Maskof choice.
Pluging Used - Eye Candy 4000, Gradient Glow.
Effects Used - Textured Effects, Weave.
Dropshadow throughout.

Save mask to your psp folder and open all supplies needed before we begin....

Ready...

Open the template in your psp workspace and hit ctrl & d to duplicate the template, this way you will save the original template for re using again and again, close the orginial now and on the new image delete the copyright layer, go to image and select resize then choose to resize all layers by 80% smartsize, just make sure the resize all layers box is checked for this one, click ok. You can also unhide the white background layer here.

Activate the circle cutout layer and go to selections, select all, select float, select defloat then take a paper from the kit and paste as a new layer, resize by 60% smartsize with resize all layers box checked then click ok, make sure the paper is not smaller than the marching ants and when happy with placement go to selections and select invert then hit delete on your keyboard, go to selections again then select none, go to effects and select eye candy 4000, gradient glow and add the following settings :-
Glow Width - 4.00 ... Soft Corners - 25 ... Opacity - 100 ... Colour - White, click the colour tab and move the slider about halfway to the middle of the grid, this will make the glow a little bolder, click ok, now add a small dropshadow of your choice.
Delete the original circle cutout layer now.

For the words a hearts layers i decided to leave them as they were but you can colourise or shadow or whatever with these layers.

Activate the glittered circles layer and go to adjust, select brightness/contrast then move the brightness slider about half way to the right to lighten the layer then add a small dropshadow of your choice.

Activate the frame background layer, go to selections, select all, select float, select defloat then take your tube and paste as a new layer, resize a little if you want to or leave large for close up view and position the part of the tube you want showing in the frame area, when your happy with the placememt go to selections and select invert then hit delete on your keyboard to erase the excess tube from around the frame, go to selections once more and select none.

Making sure your on the tube layer go to effects and select eye candy 4000, gradient glow and add the white glow with the same settings we used before, no need for a dropshadow this time though.

For the frame layer simply add a dropshadow of your choice.

Activate the frame background layer again and go to effects, select textured effects and choose weave then add the following settings :-
Gap Size - 1 .... Width - 6 .... Opacity - 9 .... Both colours set to black and fill gaps box checked then click ok.

The glittered circle layer, again i left this as it was and added the dropshadow.

The heart 2 and pixel tease layers were left as they are in this tutorial.

For the heart 1 layer I used the very first step of the tutorial and filled it with a paper from the kit.

Now activate the tease wordart layer, click to copy and then click paste as a new image in your psp workspace, go to image, select rotate, free rotate and choose 90.00 with the rotate to left box ticked also make sure the rotate all layers box is checked, now grab your magic wand tool from the tool palette and click inside the first letter (T) take your choosen tube and paste as a new layer, position to which part of the tube you want to show in the letter then when happy with placement go to selections and select invert then hit delete on the keyboard to erase the excess tube around the letter, go to selections again and select none, now activate the word layer again and click inside the second letter with your magic wand tool, repeat above and paste the tube again, move a little so you have a different part of the tube showing inside the second letter, again go to selections and select none, repeat this with all the letters of the word tease but make sure you click back to the word layer before selecting with magic wand.
Once you have the whole word filled with the tube parts close out the original word layer and then go to layers and select merge visible.
Copy the new merged layer and go back to your working canvas and paste as a new layer, go to image and select rotate, choose to rotate by 90.00 right and make sure rotate all layers box is unchecked, place the layer over the original tease word layer and then delete the original, now go to effects and select the eye candy 4000, gradient glow then add the same glow as we used at the start of the tutorial, also add the same dropshadow.

Activate the bottom white layer now and paste one of the papers from the kit as a new layer then go to layers tab and select load mask from disc then look for the mask that we saved at the start of the tutorial, it should be listed in the drop menu, use the following settings to add the mask layer :-
Source Luminace - Checked ... Fit to Canvas - Checked ... Invert Transparency - Unchecked ... Hide all Mask - Checked, click ok then go to the layer palette and merge group.

Now go back and activate the white background layer again and grab your rectangle tool with foreground colour set to null and background colour set to your choice to match the tube or kit, draw out a largish rectange no larger than the template layers though then go to effects and select blur, choose guassian blur and set to 15.00 then click ok, go to effects again and add the same weave effect that we used before, now go to layers and select properties then lower the layer properties to around 55.

Click back to the top layer of the canvas and add any elements you wish to decorate the tag a little, remember to resize as needed and add a dropshadow to each element then place where they look good on the tag.

I didnt resize or crop on this one but depending on what size you like to work with you may want to crop a little.

Add your name in your font of choice.
Add artist info, copyright info and your own info.

All done.

Save your tag as a jpeg or png file.
