Casino Girl

This tutorial was written on June 15th 2009 by Susan aka Hippiedaze.
The idea for this tag is off my own head lol and any resemblance is purely coincidence.
General Knowledge of psp is required, tutorial was written in psp 9 but will work in other versions.

Supplies Needed

Tube of choice - I used the artwork of Keith Garvey, you need a proper license to use this work, visit MPT - HERE .
PTU Scrap Kit - 'Casino Royale' by TootyPup of Tootypups Scraps which you can purchase at Katelynns Designs - HERE .
No Template Used.
Mask Used - WSL Mask # - By Chelle @ Wee Scots Lass Creations - HERE .
No Plugins Used.
Font of Choice.

(open all supplies and place mask into your psp folder before we start)

Lets Get Started

Open a new image in your psp workspace by going to file, select new, choose 500x500, white image, click ok.

Take a frame of your choice from the kit and paste as a new layer, go to image, select resize and choose to resize by 65%, smartsize, click ok,place in centre of your canvas. Take your tube and paste as a new layer, resize if you want to and position where you want it, when happy with placement go to layers and select duplicate, move the duplicate tube layer down below the the frame layer, be careful not to move these two layers now, activate the top tube layer and take your eraser tool and 'rub out' any tube thats hanging over the bottom of the frame, on the bottom tube layer add a dropshadow (see mine).

Now activate the bottom white layer, take your selection tool from the tool palette and draw out a square just slightly bigger than the inner frame area, go to layers, select add new raster layer, take your choosen paper and choose paste into selection, go to selections and select none.

On the frame layer add a dropshadow.

Activate the bottom white layer again, Take a jazz doodle of your choice from the kit and paste as a new layer, resize as needed and move to top left of your canvas so theres some showing from behind the frame, once happy with size and placement go to layers, select duplicate, go to image, select flip, back to image and select mirror, you can position this how you want at the bottom right side of your canvas.

Activate the bottom white layer yet again lol, paste a paper from the kit as a new layer, go to layers, select load mask from disc and choose the mask that you saved at the start (WSL Mask #56) and use the following settings :-
Fit to canvas - checked .... Source luminace - checked .... Invert transparency - unchecked.... Hide Mask - checked. Click ok, go to layers, merge group.
You might want to use the deform tool to stretch the mask out a little so its showing around the frame.

Take one of the star elements from the kit, paste as a new layer on top layer of your canvas, resize as needed so it fits nicely inside the inner frame area and then move layer below the tube layer, go to layer properties and lower the opacity down to around 65, go to layers, select duplicate, go to image, select flip.

Activate the top layer of your canvas now and decorate the tag with any other elements you wish or see mine as example,
I used the dice, some playing cards, chips, wordart and trumpet, resize all elements as needed and place where you want them, add a dropshadow to each layer.

Crop or resize if you wish to now.

Add your name, Add artist info & copyright info.

Save as jpeg or .png. and we're done lol.

Thanks for trying my tutorial and i hope you enjoyed it would love to see your results, hippiedaze@hotmail.com
